Can you get an exotic car delivered in Tempe or near ASU?

Updated: July 17, 2026

Short answer

Yes. Grant Motor Group can get an exotic car delivered to Tempe and the ASU area. Tempe sits just outside Scottsdale, so delivery there is confirmed at booking along with the fee. You must be 25, or 21 with prior approval, to drive.

Grant Motor Group delivers exotic cars to Tempe and the streets around Arizona State University. The catch is geography. Delivery is available anywhere in Scottsdale; a delivery fee applies and is confirmed at booking. Tempe is its own city just south of the Scottsdale line, so a Tempe or ASU drop-off is confirmed at booking along with the fee. The trip is short. Tempe shares a border with Scottsdale. The bigger gate is age, not distance: the driver must be 25, or 21 with prior approval from us.

Does Grant Motor Group deliver to Tempe and ASU?

Yes, we bring the car to you in Tempe, including addresses near the ASU Tempe campus. Delivery works like our valet service everywhere else. We meet you at your hotel, apartment, home, or event, go over the car's condition with you, check your license and insurance, hand over the keys, and pick the car back up when you are done.

The one difference from a Scottsdale booking is that the trip is confirmed first. Delivery is available anywhere in Scottsdale, which covers Scottsdale hotels, resorts, homes, and Scottsdale Airport; a delivery fee applies and is confirmed at booking. Tempe is a separate municipality. It borders Scottsdale on the north but is its own city of about 39.94 square miles, home to roughly 180,000 residents. Because a Tempe run crosses out of Scottsdale, delivery there is confirmed at the time of booking along with the fee. There are no surprises added later.

Distance is rarely the problem. Tempe is a short hop from our Scottsdale base, and it sits only about 2 miles from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. That closeness matters if you are flying in. You can land at Sky Harbor, get to your Tempe hotel, and have the car meet you there instead of dragging luggage to a rental counter. When you ask about a Tempe delivery, give us the exact address and your time window, and we will confirm the fee and the slot.

How old do you have to be to rent near ASU?

You must be at least 25 years old to rent one of our exotics, or 21 with prior approval from Grant Motor Group. This is the rule that trips up the most people near a college campus, so it is worth stating plainly before you plan a booking.

ASU is one of the largest universities in the country. In fall 2024 it welcomed about 40,800 new students, including roughly 17,000 incoming first-year students. A typical first-year or sophomore is 18 to 20 years old. Those drivers fall below our floor, and they usually fall below the industry floor too. High-value cars sit under stricter age rules almost everywhere, because insurers price young drivers as higher risk.

So who can actually book near ASU? Graduate students, faculty, staff, and visiting parents or alumni who are 25 or older clear the bar with no special step. A 21-to-24-year-old, including a senior or a grad student, can still be considered, but only with our prior approval before the rental date. Do not wait until the day of. If you are in that age band, call ahead so we can review it and tell you yes or no with time to spare.

Age is not the only screen. Every driver needs a valid license, a clean driving record with no major violations (a DUI, reckless driving, or a recent suspension is usually disqualifying, so confirm your situation when you book), and their own full-coverage auto insurance in their name. We also place a refundable security hold before pickup. A credit card is the best way to carry the hold; a debit hold ties up your own cash. Confirm card options when you book. If you are a student borrowing a parent's card or planning to split with roommates, sort that out early, because the person whose name is on the rental is the person who must be present and insured.

How Tempe delivery works and what to have ready

Plan on three things before a Tempe drop-off: a confirmed address and time, proof of insurance, and a credit card for the hold. Get those set and the handoff itself takes only a few minutes.

Here is the order it runs in:

  1. Book and confirm the location. Tell us the Tempe or ASU-area address and your pickup window. We confirm availability and the delivery fee for the trip outside Scottsdale.
  2. Send your documents. We verify your driver's license and your active full-coverage insurance policy. This cannot be added at the curb, so handle it before delivery day.
  3. Meet and inspect. We arrive with the car, and its condition is checked at handoff and again at return. This protects you as much as us.
  4. Drive. The keys are yours for the rental term. Return the car at the fuel level you received it.
  5. Return inspection. We do a matching walkaround at pickup. A clean return releases your security hold.

A few local details save money. Mileage on exotics is capped, commonly around 50 to 100 miles a day across the industry, with overage often billed at $1 to $3 per extra mile. Those are common industry figures, not Grant Motor Group's published numbers, so confirm your exact car's allowance when you book. Around Tempe you will not touch a cap on short Mill Avenue and campus runs. You could, though, if you plan a day trip to Sedona or the Grand Canyon, so ask first.

Watch your driving record too, because it follows you, not us. A single Arizona speeding conviction adds 3 points to your own license, and 8 or more points in a 12-month period can trigger a suspension. Tempe and the surrounding freeways are camera-heavy. In a rental, the citation is mailed to the driver of record, which is you.

Which cars, and the best reasons to rent one in Tempe

Any car in our fleet can come to Tempe, from a daily-driver sports coupe to a full supercar. The right pick depends on your budget and your reason for renting.

Corvette Z06 (2025)$449Supercar pace on a smaller budget
Porsche 911 GT3$799Driver's car, canyon roads

Rates can change, so confirm the day's price when you book.

The value standout for a student-town budget is the Corvette Z06. Its 5.5-liter V8 makes 670 horsepower without forced induction, and it revs to an exotic 8,600 rpm redline. At $449 a day it undercuts the six-figure Italian cars while running with them in a straight line. For a graduation photoshoot, the Ferrari 458 Italia in its Liberty Walk widebody draws every eye, and its V8 spins to a screaming 9,000 rpm redline. For a group heading to a Sun Devil game or a night on Mill Avenue, the Lamborghini Urus S seats the crew, makes 657 horsepower, and hits 60 mph in about 3.5 seconds.

Common Tempe occasions we deliver for: ASU graduation weekend and photos, game-day arrivals at Mountain America Stadium, birthdays, bachelor and bachelorette parties, and airport pickups for visitors staying near campus. Each one is just a delivery address and a time window to us.
