Where can you cruise or show an exotic car in Old Town Scottsdale (Cars & Coffee)?

Updated: July 17, 2026

Short answer

The main spot to show an exotic is Fourtillfour, a cars-and-coffee cafe at 7105 East 1st Avenue in Old Town Scottsdale, with free themed weekend meets from 7 to 10 a.m. To cruise, drive Scottsdale Road on the way in. The Motorsports Gathering runs first Saturdays.

Old Town Scottsdale has a real car scene, and you do not need to own the car to be part of it. The anchor is Fourtillfour, a cars-and-coffee cafe at 7105 East 1st Avenue. It runs free themed meets on weekend mornings from 7 to 10 a.m., open to spectators and to owners who want to park and show. A few miles north, the Scottsdale Motorsports Gathering at Market Street draws exotics on the first Saturday of each month. Roll in with a rented supercar and you fit right in. The routine is simple: arrive by seven, take a wide spot, and let the car do the talking.

Where the gatherings actually happen

The two events worth planning around are Fourtillfour in Old Town and the Scottsdale Motorsports Gathering in North Scottsdale. Both are free to attend and both attract high-end metal.

Fourtillfour sits in the walkable core of Old Town at 7105 East 1st Avenue, Scottsdale, AZ 85251. The cafe is open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., and its weekend gatherings run from 7 to 10 a.m. The name is a nod to the Porsche 356, read as "four til four," and the founder sold two of his own 356s to open the place in late 2015. That Porsche root shows in the schedule below.

The Scottsdale Motorsports Gathering, hosted by Scuderia Southwest, meets at Market Street at DC Ranch, 20789 N Pima Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85255. It runs the first Saturday of every month from 7 to 10 a.m. and is free for spectators. Organizers describe the lineup as a curated mix of exotic, collectible, and high-performance cars, so it skews a bit more upscale than a typical open meet.

Here is how the two compare:

Which weekend day matches your car

Fourtillfour rotates a theme through the month, so the day you show up decides the crowd you park with. Picking the right morning gets your rental in front of the right people.

The published rotation runs like this:

  1. First Saturday: Porsches. Aircooled and modern Porsches fill the lot. If you booked our Porsche 911 GT3, this is your morning. The GT3's 3.8-liter flat-six makes 475 horsepower and revs to a 9,000 rpm limit. That is exactly the kind of detail the Porsche crowd here will ask about.
  2. First Sunday: Motorcycles. Vintage and modern bikes take over.
  3. Second Saturday: Fast Cars. This is the supercar and hypercar morning. A McLaren 600LT or Ferrari 458 Italia belongs here. The 458 was the last naturally aspirated V8 Ferrari before the twin-turbo 488, and its V8 spins to a 9,000 rpm redline that was a first for a production V8. On our car that engine sits under a Liberty Walk widebody, which turns heads before it even starts.
  4. Second Sunday: Aircooled Volkswagens.
  5. Third Saturday: Shakedown. Vintage European and JDM machines.
  6. Last Saturday: Vintage Offroad.

The Scottsdale Motorsports Gathering keeps it simpler: one exotics-friendly meet, first Saturday, every month. If your rental days do not line up with a Fast Cars Saturday, the Gathering is the reliable backup for showing a supercar.

Go early, and know why

Get there near the 7 a.m. start, both for the cars and for the heat. In the Phoenix area, a summer morning is the only comfortable window to stand around a parking lot, and the early start is not an accident.

Phoenix summers are brutal. The all-time record high is 122 degrees, set on June 26, 1990, and in the summer of 2023 the city ran 31 straight days at or above 110 degrees. A 7 a.m. meet ends before the pavement turns into a griddle. It also means the best cars, and the best parking, are gone by 9. Enthusiasts who want a front spot show up in the first half hour.

Timing matters for the drive too. Arizona's monsoon season runs June 15 through September 30, and an afternoon storm can drop a wall of dust or flood a low street fast. A morning meet keeps you off the road during the worst of that. If you are visiting, note that Old Town is built for this kind of trip: its walkable core packs more than 90 restaurants, 320 shops, and 80 galleries into a few blocks, so you can park, grab coffee, and walk once the cars roll out.

Can you show and cruise a rental here?

Yes, you can bring a rented exotic to any of these meets and drive it around Old Town, with one thing to keep in mind: as the renter, you are the driver of record, so the car's condition and any tickets are on you. That changes how you should treat the morning, not whether you can go.

At a cars-and-coffee event you are parking and displaying, which is low risk. The bigger exposure is the drive. If you damage the car in your care, from a curbed wheel in a tight lot to a scrape, you are responsible for the repair, and the refundable security hold on your credit card is the buffer. So take the wide parking spot, back in slowly, and do not let a crowd rush your maneuvering.

"Cruising" Old Town means enjoying the drive on Scottsdale Road and the surrounding grid, not treating a public street like a strip. Arizona takes this seriously. Reckless driving under A.R.S. 28-693 is a criminal class 2 misdemeanor, not a simple ticket, and a repeat offense within 24 months carries a mandatory jail term and a one-year license suspension. Revving through a packed pedestrian district is exactly the behavior that draws it. Keep it smooth, and the car still sounds incredible at 25 mph.

Old Town also stays busy. Scottsdale drew more than 11 million visitors in 2024, and the Old Town core is full of people on foot on any weekend morning. A supercar gets plenty of attention there without a single hard launch.

The simple plan

If you want to show, aim for a Fourtillfour Fast Cars Saturday or the first-Saturday Scottsdale Motorsports Gathering, arrive by 7, and pick a supercar that matches the crowd: a Ferrari 458 or McLaren 600LT for Fast Cars, a Porsche 911 GT3 for a Porsche Saturday. If you just want to be seen driving, a quiet, legal loop of Old Town on Scottsdale Road does the job any morning.
