What is the fastest car you can rent at Grant Motor Group?

Updated: June 26, 2026

Short answer

It depends on how you measure. For straight-line acceleration, the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is the quickest, reaching 60 mph in roughly 2.6 seconds. For top speed, the Ferrari 458 leads at about 202 mph, with the McLaren 600LT just behind. All sit among the fastest cars in the fleet.

The fastest car at Grant Motor Group depends on what you mean by fast. If you mean acceleration, the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is the quickest off the line, hitting 60 mph in around 2.6 seconds. If you mean top speed, the Ferrari 458 Italia Liberty Walk leads the fleet at about 202 mph, with the McLaren 600LT just behind. There is no single answer because these are different measures of speed, and the cars are tuned for different things. Here is how the fleet stacks up so you can pick the kind of fast you actually want.

Two ways to measure fast

People say "fastest" but usually mean one of two things. Acceleration is how quickly a car reaches speed, measured by the 0 to 60 mph time. Top speed is the maximum the car will reach flat out. A car can be a champion at one and merely very good at the other.

For real-world driving, acceleration is what you feel. The shove in your back when you press the throttle, the way the car leaps off a stoplight, that is acceleration, and it is the more thrilling number on a public road. Top speed is mostly a number you admire, since you will never legally use it.

So as you compare the fleet, decide which matters to you. The two leaders are different cars, and the best one for you depends on which kind of speed you are chasing.

There is also a third quality that does not show up in a single number: how a car feels fast. A high-revving naturally aspirated engine that screams toward nine thousand rpm can feel more thrilling than a turbo car with a quicker stat. Sound, response, and drama all shape the sensation of speed, which is why the fleet's character matters as much as its figures.

Quickest off the line: Corvette Z06

For pure acceleration, the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is the fleet's drag-race champion. Its naturally aspirated 5.5-liter flat-plane V8 produces 670 horsepower and revs to 8,600 rpm, and in the mid-engine C8 layout it puts that power down hard. The result is a 0 to 60 mph time of roughly 2.6 seconds, quicker than anything else GMG rents.

That makes it the most violent in a straight line, and the sound that comes with it is pure exotic. For the visceral thrill of acceleration, the kind you actually use on the road, the Z06 is the one.

At $449 a day, it is also one of the most affordable cars in the fleet, which makes it a remarkable amount of speed for the money.

There is a headline claim behind that engine, too. The Z06's 5.5-liter unit is, by Chevrolet's account, the "most powerful naturally aspirated V8" ever fitted to a production car. That is the kind of detail that makes the Z06 special beyond the raw numbers: it is a genuine engineering landmark you can rent for the day.

Highest top speed: Ferrari 458 and McLaren 600LT

If top speed is your measure, two cars lead. The Ferrari 458 Italia Liberty Walk tops out at about 202 mph, the highest in the fleet, with a 4.5-liter V8 making 562 horsepower. The McLaren 600LT is right behind at around 201 mph, helped by its lightweight build and 592 horsepower.

Both are properly fast everywhere, not just at the top end. The 458 reaches 60 mph in about 3.4 seconds, and the 600LT in under 3 seconds, so they are blistering off the line too, just not quite to Z06 levels.

These are the cars to choose if the headline top-speed number matters to you, or if you simply want the full exotic experience that comes with a Ferrari or a McLaren.

It is worth remembering you will never use a 200-mph top speed on public roads. What these numbers really tell you is how effortlessly the cars build speed at any point in the rev range. Even at legal speeds, a car capable of 200-plus mph feels utterly relaxed, with huge reserves on tap. That ease is the real reward.

The rest of the fast fleet

The other cars are no slouches. The Lamborghini Urus S makes 657 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque, reaching 60 mph in about 3.5 seconds and topping out near 190 mph, which is extraordinary for an SUV that seats five. The Porsche 911 GT3 uses a high-revving naturally aspirated flat-six near 475 horsepower and reaches around 195 mph, with the sharpest handling of the group.

Even the entry point, the BMW M2 Competition, makes about 405 horsepower and is genuinely quick. The point is that every car here is fast. The question is just which flavor of fast suits you.

The spread is part of the appeal. You can pick a brutal drag-strip launch, a 200-mph exotic, a 657-horsepower family SUV, or a precision driver's car, all from one small fleet. No single car wins every measure, and that is the point. The best one is the one whose kind of fast matches the drive you have in mind.

Ferrari 458 LW562~3.4 s~202 mph
McLaren 600LT592~2.9 s~201 mph
Porsche 911 GT3~475~3.4 s~195 mph
Chevrolet Corvette Z06670~2.6 s~195 mph
Lamborghini Urus S657~3.5 s~190 mph

Which fast car is right for you

If you want the biggest hit of acceleration you can feel on the road, choose the Corvette Z06. If you want the highest top speed and the full exotic theater, choose the McLaren 600LT or the Ferrari 458. If you want speed plus everyday usability or seats for the family, the 911 GT3 and the Urus S are the answers.

Whichever kind of fast you are after, the team can match it to the right car and your dates. Call or text (623) 400-3031 or message @grantmotorgroup, and book early, because the headline cars get claimed first in peak season.
